We are a mixed breed family ;-) - looking to join the crowd as owners of Mythodical Irish blood! I have owned and trained 3 IS's for the field. I simply love the spirit of the Irish, the drive and the body language (it's all in the tail!). I love the connection between Man (she/he) and Dog and when asked what I indentfy most with an IS on my answer is "tenacious".

Be Well!

About Me

I've had Irish setters since I was six months old, though I also had Australian shepherds for a good long while when I had to keep sheep to save on farmland taxes. Right now we have two Irish, Se and an elderly lady CH Kimberlin Star Rising JH. Se is like so many in his litter - full of character and energy, but also a great friend. In the profile picture, he's sitting on "his" beach on Lake Superior, surveying his domain.

About Me

My parents had an Irish Setter before I was born and we always had at least one when I was growing up as well.  They are on their fifth Irish Setter.   Presently, I have three Irish Setters, one being my parent's.  I love them, enjoy their differences, and their high energy.

About Me

We are the Dirksens!  We are the proud owners of Lily.  She has been a part of our family for 3 years and we love her dearly.  She loves to chase anything in the woods, and has brought us some "presents" over the years.  She snuggles up with the kids at night and guards our home.  Our family has always had Setters, and Lily fit right in.

About Me

My husband, Bryan and I live in Cincinnati, Ohio with our son Zachary, born May 14, 2010 and with our beautiful dog Lucy (formerly Diana). After tradgically loosing our Irish Setter  Madison 1-1/2 weeks before her first birthday, we found Cassie Allen & her beautiful dogs. We were so blessed to have the opportunity to give Lucy a home, and we love her soooo much!

About Me

I live northwest of Green Bay Wisconsin.  Rory is my first Irish Setter but I've had Gordon's for over 17 years.  I like to do various activities with my dogs.  I've done conformation, hunting, agility, and obedience with my Setters and agility and herding with my Border Collie.  Rory currently has 7 conformation points including a 3 point major.  He is being trained for agility and I'd like to start doing Hunt Tests with him as soon as I feel comfortable that he'll come back to me.  He is extremely high prey drive and his self control is still questionable.  The picture that I've uploaded is Rory on point at Jean Webb's last October.  Rory is entered in the conformation ring this coming weekend so hopefully he'll pick up another point or two.

About Me

I have Talyn - Mythodical Russells Nathan Hale. Talyn is a Therapy dog and visits the juvenile detention facility in Idaho Falls. He has been great with the kids there. He is also a wonderful hunting dog and enjoyed a lot of upland game bird hunting this year. Talyn is my best friend and my constant companion. We just adopted a dog from Susan  Russell who is related to our puppies ( the dog not Susan). Am hoping to have a litter soon. Talyn and Chani are best buds and soon to be hunting partners.

About Me

My wife Phyllis and I have been married for 30+ years and we have 2 adult children James and Emily.  I currently work as a computer consultant in Hitachi Consulting's Oracle practice.  In the past I've taught high school science.  Hobbies include reading, portrature, calligraphy and photography.  I have loved Irish Setters since I read 'Big Red' in elementary school.  My first Irish was Tess (The Mess) and I am currently owned by Orin (for whom we don't have an appropriate rhyming pseudonym ... borin' and snorin' just don't fit).

About Me

I'm Goose's mom.  We (husband Terry and daughter Kate) live in BC and Goose enjoys a varied "playground" from the ocean beaches to the mountains and grasslands.  When we aren't training for trials, hunting or just going for good long walks (runs!) Goose endeavors to convince our older pointer that he too can be silly!
